The Latest in CJC Dodge 3rd Gen/Ford Super Duty 50" LED Brackets

We are excited to announce our latest 50" LED light bar brackets!

2003-2009 Dodge Ram 50" LED Light Bar Roof Brackets

We have updated our Dodge 3rd Generation 50" LED Roof Brackets with this latest revision that is beefier and thicker than our previous 3rd Generation Dodge Brackets. These brackets now feature the CJC Off Road logo and feature two different sized mounting holes, allowing fitment of a variety of lights. Like our previous design, these brackets mount inside the truck's A pillar with no holes being drilled in the roof itself (only in the A pillar). These brackets are available now alongside our older design. Click Here for pricing and additional information!

The Wait is Finally Over...

With Dodge performance suspensions continuing to push the envelope in terms of capability and ride quality, more and more heavy duty truck owners are beginning to take their trucks off the beaten path. As these trucks are used and abused, weak points continue to present themselves in the form of axle housings that bend easily and need to be trussed or ball joints that need to be replaced with bulletproof units.

One aspect of these suspension systems that has been addressed is the bump stops. There are a variety of solutions on the market for hydro bumps - both bolt on and others that require custom fabrication. Unfortunately, these options can be cost prohibitive and tend add a "jarring" effect to the last few inches of suspension travel.

The solution? A replacement bump stop that engages during the last few inches of travel, "ramps up" as it nears full compression, doesn't rebound back, and survives up to 40,000 pounds of force without splitting or cracking. Traditional rubber compound bump stops weren't going to cut it. Many foam materials tested managed to absorb impacts but at the expense of cracking. Locating the correct material and design for trucks that weigh 7000 pounds or more proved difficult.

After a year of sampling materials, engineering bracket designs, and testing various compounds, "Boogie Rated" bump stops are nearly ready. Boogie Bumps are the result of a collaboration between various Dodge off road enthusiasts and manufacturers within the industry.

Here are some quick specs on the final production bump stops:

-Made from microcellular urethane. This material is progressive in that the more it is compressed, the more bottom out resistance it provides. Using presses and lots of real-world testing, there were no failures with this material in testing.

-Taking measurements and testing with nearly every production shock/spring combination available, these bump stops are design to be completely bottomed out with 1/2" of shock shaft remaining, effectively increasing shock bearing lifespan.

-There will be multiple options in regards to mounting. Those that ran similar bump stops on their trucks can mount these to the same location. Those that have not run similar bump stops will have the option to choose between brackets that modify the factory bump stop mount or brackets that clamp on to the factory mount.

-These bump stops are 4.5" long, 2.5" wide, and 2.5" tall. They are black in color.

-Each set of Boogie Bumps will include a 180 day replacement warranty.

-This material has been used in industrial applications for over 20 years.

All goals were achieved in terms of handling characteristics. These bump stops offer a softer initial impact than hydro bumps while ramping up higher near full compression. When initially felt in moderate hits, these bump stops don't engage as harshly as hydro bumps. Under more severe hits, these bump stops become harder than hydro bumps. These bump stops to not "push back" like hydro bumps, standard polyurethane bump stops, or factory bump stops.

When engineering bump stops for heavy duty trucks, durability was a priority. It was important to utilize a material that reacted properly when the truck is bottomed out without tearing apart. These bump stops were tested at up to 10 tons of pressure without fragmenting or splitting.

Boogie Bumps will be available beginning later this month and will be up for preorder soon. The pictures shown are of the first production samples of the finalized design. More information will be available soon at boogierated.com.

Product Spotlight - Mercenary Off Road Heavy Duty Winch Bumper

Traditionally, winch bumpers for full size heavy duty pickups have been gargantuan, bulky extensions that bolt to the front of a truck. Many bumpers have allowed fitment of a variety of winches at the expense of reduced approach angle and bulkiness. Todd over at Mercenary Off Road sought out to buck this trend, creating a winch bumper that provides the approach angle of a tubular desert bumper with the trendy, low-profile styling that is becoming increasingly popular lately.

The Mercenary Off Road Heavy Duty Dodge Ram Winch Bumper allows the mounting of a Warn VR12000 winch while increasing off road clearance and performance. These bumpers are handcrafted in Camarillo, California and are offered for both 2003-2005 and 2006-2009 style Ram 2500/3500 4x4 trucks.

Some Carli Suspension Before/After Pictures

When researching which suspension system is right for your truck, the first question many people ask is how it will look once installed. To help give an idea of what how some of these kits sit, we have included some pictures of our more popular kits we install from the past few weeks.

First up is a Carli 2.65 ACV 6" Suspension System on a 2009 Cummins Mega Cab. This kit features Bilstein 9100 remote reservoir shocks front and rear with ACV's and check valves, Carli Suspension Full Progressive Spring Packs, and a Carli Suspension Torsion Sway Bar. Immediately following the installation of this kit, we accompanied its owner to the Glamis Sand Dunes to put the truck through its paces. The truck rode incredibly on the highway to the sand dunes and was even more impressive off road, where it soaked up large whoops and dips with ease.

This particular Mega Cab lived the first 100k miles of its life on stock suspension. The owner was unhappy with the ride quality and looking for something that would offer improved comfort on rural roads. We suggested a Carli Suspension Pintop 2.5 3" Suspension SystemCarli Suspension Full Progressive Spring PacksCarli Suspension Mild Steel Control Arms, and E Rated Toyo Open Country MT 35x12.5x17 tires. Carli's Pintop 2.5 system offers the significant increase in ride quality and performance seen by other King 2.5 systems without the added cost of replacement shock towers. After a test drive around the block, the owners were all smiles and couldn't believe the improvement in ride quality.

The owner of this 2013 wanted to lift his truck but didn't want the ill effects that most lift kits for these trucks offer. We suggested Carli Suspension's Back Country 2.0 6" Suspension System along with Carli Suspension Full Progressive Spring Packs. This truck runs E rated Khumo 35" tires and offered a night and day difference in drivability. We were extremely pleased with the outcome and are very impressed with the ride quality of the Back Country system - both on and off the pavement.
